Hello GW Band Alumni,
A few updates:
Winter break games – thanks!
The board would like to express its appreciation and gratitude to everyone who played at the winter break alumni games this past week. The band sounded great at all the games, and we got kudos from fans who thought we were the regular undergrads, not alums. Not only did the band play well, but you all brought your “A” game in cheering as well, especially on Sunday morning. Also, a big thanks to current TA Charlie Cevallos, who ran the games and coordinated with the Smith Center.

- 12:30pm: Brunch B120 – Join us for a bite to eat and catch up with your alumni friends.
- 1:30: Rehearsal – Scrub some of that rust off before tip off!
- 2:30: Leave for Kogan – For our annual rendition of Alma Mater/Fight Song at the Tempietto.
- 3:00: Call time Smith Center – Any scheduling conflicts for the earlier events? Meet us there.
- 4:00: Game tips off.
Board Updates
Katie Borgman (Secretary) recently received a part-time freelance job that would cut into her responsibilities with GWUBAF. As such she would like to put her position up for election. Interested parties should respond to this email. We will list candidates shortly and plan to elect an interim secretary around the time of the alumni game. Responsibilities include:
- Board meeting minutes
- Composing listserv communications
- Managing website (wordpress)
- Managing social media accounts
- Liaise with undergraduate bandstaff
Basic experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, and/or HTML helpful but not necessary. Katie will make herself available for help during the transition.
